Survivors Celebration
The Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend begins with a private celebration for members of Sisters by Choice Support Groups. Our dedication remains united as we continue to fight against breast cancer. This exclusive event is the kick-off for our 3-day Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend.
Donald A. Perry Memorial Golf Classic
The Donald A. Perry Memorial Breast Cancer Memorial Golf Tournament is open to the public and will be held at the Heron Bay Golf & Country Club located in Locust Grove GA. It will feature a 4-person best ball tournament on Monday October 4, 2024, on-site registration 7:30 am – 8:45 am, shotgun starts 9:00 am. Early registration deadline Monday, September 30, 2024. The Tournament attracts beginners and seasoned golfers throughout the Southeast region. The winners are presented with prizes and trophies and celebrated with an award luncheon immediately after the tournament.
The Donald A. Perry Memorial Golf Classic is one of our annual signature fundraising events to support the Sisters By Choice Mobile Breast Clinic. The mobile clinic helps underserved women with early detection thus increasing the survival rate and enhancing their ability to beat breast cancer.
Virtual Breast Cancer Symposium
The Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend ends with an Educational Seminar on Saturday October 5th at 9:00 am EST. Our speakers are world renowned local and national breast cancer specialists presenting the latest diagnosis, treatment, and cutting-edge research. The event is open to survivors, family and friends, community leaders, health care providers and the public. This event is FREE. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Emory University School of Medicine and Sisters By Choice. The Emory University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Emory University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Emory Nursing Professional Development Center (ENPDC) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Attendees to this activity will be awarded 3.75 contact hours by ENPDC upon completion of the activity evaluation and by participating in 90% of the activity time.
